Sponsored by Bubba's Frozen Custard, ‘Get Lit, Pewaukee’ is the Village of Pewaukee’s holiday light fight; a contest celebrating the beautiful home and yard light displays that make our community shine on cold winter nights. Whether you prefer a traditional look, a menagerie of inflatables, or a tribute to your favorite Christmas movie, all displays are welcome, so grab your balls and string lights and get decorating!
Participation
Contest participation couldn’t be easier! Homes can be nominated, by owners or appreciative viewers, using this form. Please be prepared to provide your name (as the “nominator”), the address of the home being nominated (whether it’s yours or belongs to another resident), an amateur photo, and a brief description of the display.
Guidelines
- Participating homes must be located in the Village of Pewaukee*.
- Judging begins on Sunday, December 17th, 2023 at dusk
- Winners will be announced Wednesday, December 20th, 2023, on this website, via social media, and on festive yard signs placed at the winning homes.
Prizes
The following prizes will be awarded by a team of judges made up of local residents that consider themselves de facto experts in both elegantly tasteful and delightfully tacky light displays.
1st Place - $150 Value
2nd Place - $100 Value
3rd Place - $50 Value
Registered homes will be featured on Pewaukee’s Holiday Light List for self-guided tours through the village during the month of December.

- Nomination/registration form opens Friday, November 10th, 2023
- Nomination/registration period closes: Sunday December 17th, 2023 at noon
- Judging begins on Sunday December 17th 2023 at dusk
- Winners announced: Wednesday, December 20th, 2023

The easiest way to tell if a home is in the Village of Pewaukee is to look for a “real” address, like 225 Christmas Cookie Court or 3159 West 1st Street. Addresses made up of NW coordinates (N28W77834 North Pole Lane) are located in the City of Pewaukee.
